High quality threshold available in aluminum mill and bronze finishes. Fits in-swing doors (door swings into the home). Perfect for replacing or upgrading an existing threshold that has rotted, cracked, or deteriorated. Straightforward installation does not require removing jambs or door.
Available in a range of widths from 24" to 120":
-
Single door slab should measure 1/4" less than threshold width, for example a 36" threshold fits a standard steel or fiberglass door that is actually 35.75" in width, however these are commonly referred to as 3/0 or 36" doors
-
Double doors threshold should measure 1" wider than the combined actual width of the slabs (e.g., a 72.5" threshold fits double 35.75" door slabs)
Low-Profile Specifications - ~1 1/16" to 1 3/8" tall:
- Depth: Select 6" (actual 5.75" but known as a standard 6" threshold for use with 2x4 framing) or 8" (actual 7.5625" but known as an extended 8" threshold for use with 2x6 framing)
- Note that threshold extenders can be used to extend the standard 6" (5.75") threshold but not the extended 8" (7.5625") threshold
- 1 1/8" tall, adjustable ~3/16" upward and 1/16" downward
- Hardwood rail (ash or oak), pine base, high grade aluminum sill
High-Dam Specifications - ~1 3/8" to 1 5/8" tall:
- Depth: Select 6" (actual 5.75" but known as a standard 6" threshold for use with 2x4 framing) or 8" (actual 7.75" but known as an extended 8" threshold for use with 2x6 framing)
- Note that threshold extenders can be used to extend the standard 6" (5.75") threshold but not the extended 8" (7.75") threshold
- 1 7/16" tall, adjustable 3/16" upward and 1/16" downward
- Hardwood rail (ash or oak), cold oil-treated hardwood base that will not expand or contract during changes in temperature, high grade aluminum sill
